Residential Building
back to selected projects > housing / residential
Project description
Overlooking Beirut’s rooftops, at the junction of two quiet streets, the select Bsmart Lamartine building stands forcefully proud over an urban hillside plateau. Its outline arches backward like a gigantic sail-frame displaying bright colored quilts, while reconstituted wood panels bring a warm and inviting touch to the rear façade. BSmart1 houses six residential units, featuring the highest seismic protection, the most efficient passive solar energy systems and a full automation system that allows personal identification and building management. Each floor exclusively hosts one apartment with its open, bright and inviting design, in a subtle reminiscence of a traditional center hall plan, coupled to state of the art communication systems. At the building’s base, a loft like apartment develops on two stories, while at the higher levels a duplex with a private swimming pool embraces the city skyline.
