Mountain Chalets
back to selected projects > private residences
Project description
A breathtaking view that was meant to be obstructed by a neighboring project in addition to a very steep slope, led us to organize the three chalets in an unusual disposition. Each chalet has a minimal footprint to maximize its garden extension. Environmental factors such as winds, precipitation and exposure were a major concern in positioning. A common basement provides parking spaces and services areas while granting access to all three units. As a simple expression of typical mountain chalets, the architecture tends towards minimalist detailing.
