Private House
back to selected projects > private residences
Project description
On a desert olive planted hill facing the Mediterranean Sea, the Spanish Owner had his vision of a white Greek-like house. A splendid view, across a green valley towards the West guided our design all the way. We tried to entirely organize the house around the open patio where people would gather at the sunset. The stone shear walls softly wrap the house ends and focalize perceptions towards the view. Round shaped plastered edges contribute to the Mediterranean ambiance, while rough stone cladding anchors the building in its context.
